Oklahoma has for a long time been interrelated with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Indian bands of Oklahoma have provided Bingo sessions for generations. Guests from many of the surrounding states pile in automobiles and visit Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA became law after a precedent setting determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that time, 23 of the thirty nine Native tribes located in Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the initial Oklahoma American Indian band to take advantage of the gaming laws, and today operate 10 gambling dens of their own.
