A lot has been reported in the press just a while ago concerning the bingo industry struggling as a consequence of the cigarette ban in Britain. Things have become so awful that in Scotland the Bingo industry has asked for massive aid to assist in keeping the businesses alive. However can the internet adaptation of this traditional game provide a lifeline, or will it in no way compare to its bricks and mortar peer?

Bingo is an classic game usually enjoyed by the "blue rinse" generation. The outcome of the anti cigarette law can already be seen in Scotland where smoking is already banned in the bingo parlors. Numbers have dropped and the industry is absolutely fighting for its life. But where did all the players go? Certainly they haven’t given up on this enduring game?

The answer is on the net. Players know that they can play bingo using their computer whilst enjoying a beverage and cigarette and still have a chance at big cash rewards. This is a recent phenomenon and has timed itself bordering on perfect with the anti smoking law.
